- Naranagala has two entrances, Thangamale devalaya side and Keenakele side. Keenakele is the commonly used entrance by villagers but less fun.
- Climb up from the devalaya side and descend from the Keenakele side. Slopes in the Keenakele side could hinder climbing up.
- Take a lot of water. So much of it. It’s going to be a long walk under the baking sun.
- Wise to buy lunch from Kandegedara town since there are no shops that sell lunch or breakfast at any of the entrances.
- There’s an overgrown thicket of Maana shrubs few meters into the path from devalaya side. Take every precaution to wade through them. Wear long sleeves.
