Nawgala Rock is a mountain situated in Ambanpitiya Estate, Galigamuwa, Kegalle District, Sri Lanka. In English, the name roughly translates to ‘Rocky Ship’ – a fitting name, since the rock is shaped like a ship, with the telecommunications towers along its ridge resembling the ship’s masts. It stands 320m (1,050 ft) at its highest point, and it’s a popular trek among travelers exploring the Kegalle area.
